
About me
Richard Duke was born in Coimbatore, India in 1987. He spent his earliest years at the Families For Children Home in Podanur before being adopted and brought to Canada in 1991 to be raised by an ex-pat British family in Kelowna, B.C. Richard studied general arts at the University of British Columbia for two years before deciding university was not for him.
In the Fall of 2010, he moved to Vancouver to pursue a professional acting career and has studied with acting coaches and teachers from LA, New York, and Vancouver.
In 2013, Richard was accepted into and completed the Emerging 20 mentorship program by ReelWorld, which is connected to TIFF. In the Spring of that year, he began writing, directing, and producing in addition to acting. Since 2013-2014 he has worked in Vancouver, LA, and Seattle, writing, directing, or producing (directly or indirectly), a total of 16 projects. Some highlights include Fighting Free, What Happened, Starlight Heist, Bravery, Zero Day, and Badge of Honor. He also started the Production company LINCHPIN ENTERTAINMENT
When he is not acting he is very active enjoying running and being outdoors. Before moving down to Vancouver he had a background in culinary arts even going to culinary school. As such he enjoys cooking and hosting private dinner parties.
He enjoys rock climbing, horseback riding, snowboarding, traveling, reading, fine foods, and wines. All of that with good company
